With a large squirt gun. Pretty funny. Wish there was an youtube video.
He was trying to get his flyaway back.
I won't mention names nor locations because it involves someone else, but the story is interesting because it is apparently true
Anyway I was purchasing an auction item, his reply email came late saying he was detained, here is how the messages went.
HIM: ...There was some trauma here for a few days because my cockatiel escaped.
Me: Did you get the bird back?...
HIM: Yes indeed, I got my little bird back. Cockatiels are natives of the Australian desert. If you get them wet, they cant fly very well. After 17 hours I finally hit her with a stream of water and down she came when she tried to fly away.
Me: So, the bird was in a tree or on the roof or something?...
HIM: Yeah the bird was in a 3 foot diameter oak tree. I had to get on a foot ladder and then climb out on a limb with a super soaker, but it worked.
I won't reveal any information about who or where, but they live in an apartment and must have been entertaining to others watching, wish there was a youtube, maybe there is a similar youtube video???
EDIT: Actually he wrote 'step', not "step ladder", so the bird was on a very low limb.
SQUAK!

When you hear about things like this you have to resist the urge to go over and smack someone around. However, as bird owners we know better than to give this person the "Drama Reward".
