For those of you who know me, you know how I love insects of all shapes and sizes. You can only imagine my displeasure when my neighbor called me to ask me to come over and help her. Her son was covered in ticks and a couple were deeply embeded and needed to be removed. Well needless to say I came home with 2 crawling on me. So it got me wondering if birds would get ticks too. I give my dogs frontline so I have never had any issue with ticks before, if I find them on the dog they are already dead. Just curious.

Ticks attach themselves to any warm blooded animal so I would assume that they would do it with a bird, too.

Arachnids? Really? I always thought they had 6 legs, not that I try to look that close. Thanks, I can always use useless trivia. jkThose images were disgusting but confirmed what I had thought. They will attach themselves to any warm blooded thing they can find. Eeww. Just great! Hopefully I never have to live that nightmare. lol
