I‘m glad to hear that in your opinion, your little one appears to be doing well.
On your original question, concerning how long it takes for food to pass through our birds, the only time I can see evidence of a specific food passing through is after a “colorful” dinner. I then don’t see signs of this reappearing till Pepper’s morning poop, ten to twelve hours later.

K&T Dad.. To be on the safe side I would continue to check the droppings & also check your fids vent for anything sticking out Etc.. Also keep a close eye on his area near the vent...such as enlargement of the area, Etc. Good luck and keep us posted.

Well it's been over a month now, and she's still acting fine! I think it got digested, and that's why I never saw any string come out.
