What a great job you've done! It's perfect. Of course they first pretended like it wasn't there. 3 hrs. later they came around.

I was playing around on you tube the other day watching videos of birds...of course and I came across this guy and his African grey, he was making a tape for his parents that live in New Zealand he was in the U.S. He came to the U.S. for work, got this bird the job finished but he could not take the bird back with him so he stayed here. He started doing flight training and the bird caught a gust of wind and is gone this man is broken hearted and said he will now return to his native home because the bird is gone no reason to stay. I in no way want to start any hoopla on the forum about the pros and cons of clipped/not clipped flying/not flying I just thought it was interesting he was far from a perfect parront but looks like he tried his best.

This is a from May of 2008 so some of you may have seen it but you can see he logs every few days to check and see if anyone emails him, he has asked if anyone found the bird to just let him know he's okay.

We decided to put Sunny in the living room window to let him enjoy the sunlight that comes through in the afternoon.

As you can see he really enjoyed his time up there! After that he got to feast on some scrambled eggs with green peppers and peas! I was actually surprised as to how much he liked what I made him!!

Taking photos is sooooo much fun with my new camera Im sure everyone in the house (including the animals) are tired of seeing a flash going off!

Funny thing about these photos when I took them Cadillac acted as if he wanted to see what I was looking at on the back of the camera so I showed him the screen and he bobbed his head as if he was in agreement of how he looked

By this time he must have been thinking "get that out of my face"

In these last two you can see where his beak is messed up, I have to do another beak trim on him but not until after my step daughter leaves this weekend. Seems my son seems to think he has to stay up with her and no matter how much I protest his father agree's so when he finally goes to bed Im to tired to do it and I wont do it while they are awake because Trey starts to cry because he thinks Im hurting his "junejune"

He is so dang cute and sweet..I seriously could play with him all day!! He is PERFECT..and I mean that. He reminds me so much of his mom, Kona, but is every more friendly than her..she was just naturally tame. She is still a sweetie but shes never been as good as he is..Just a Ham! Ok im bragging but I can't help it, he is my little man! He even flies to me now..its so sweet!

So before I ramble more..here he is!

In these next few he is trying to get in by the finches..he LOVES the finches!

and the finches have to coe down and check him out..they are so funny to watch interact...Emeril the male finch you can see preens him through the bars and he preens the female you can see...so sweet

I have a few more pics of Sunny! Not all that easy to take pictures of him, as everytime I get a good one he moves just as the pic is taken! Usually ends up being so blurry I can't use them! But I managed to get a few that came out ok!

I never knew such a little bird could be such a joy to have!

I just realized with Christmas and everything, that I haven't posted any pictures of Marisol since I adopted her. Here are a few new ones!

She had only 2 acrylic toys at her old home, so she eagerly dove into the leather, cotton rope, and bead toy I made for her! The poor thing just wanted something to chew.

In her hut I made:

Marisol has so much darkish orange around her face and tummy. She has quite the array of colors!

So here's some of the different things they do...on Gizmo's end, I'm guessing some of it is courting behavior??? Any thoughts on what they're doing here? Anytime they get together, they preen each other and do what they are doing in this video, but sometimes its alot more. I'm surprised they did what they did on video lol

Sorry that it's a long video...And where Gizmo squawked, I touched his tailfeathers...I was just tryin to get him to turn around lol. He hates his tail being messed with.

Christmas tree/Hanukkah bush pics

By the time I got around to decorations, I realized that it was too late to bring everything out. Not to mention that dreadful 7' "monolith" tree of mine. So, this year I brought out my cute 3' blue tree. What do you think? Not too over the top? Let's see yours!

Not the greatest pic, but I just wanted to show Cat tearing into her new shreddy toy, and was so into it, she was making cute chirpy growlie noises as she tore away. Sharply turning her head side to side. Like a dog!

This is one chaotic pic, The front doggie toy with shreddy stuff all over it was one of their presents.

This is a doggie fleece ball that I altered adding beads and bell and managed to stuff (much like an artichoke) with hay and Christmas millet. Cat isn't strong enough to play on this yet, but Pipz had a ball contorting himself to get to the treats.
