In another thread, rockybirdlove began discussing if there are any levels of participation here that are above “Feather Fanatic”. It’s a good topic for us to share our ideas about. As members here, we’ve recently seen some changes (the change in our user level names and the addition of the Non-Bird Talk forum) made here based on our suggestions and recommendations. Let’s share our ideas and offer our suggestions on this topic.

Let’s imagine that there are two higher levels. These milestones would be earned and recognized at 5,000 and 10,000 posts. If these new levels were started, what would you propose as the names for them? Remember, one or two word names only.

Please share your ideas.

Graphic Images

Hello Flock Members,

I've recieved some concerns about the number of topic's with graphic images or links to graphic images. Please keep in mind that although you may be able to handle it, not all members can handle the sight of animals in distress or being treated horribly.

If you feel you must share these images, please put a warning in the title or the description so that a member will get the warning before they click on the link and are met with an image that will possibly upset them.

If you feel you must share them in a thread already going on then put a warning at the very top of your reply post.

It goes along with our rule of respecting your fellow forum members. Thank you.

Add a "funny" space?

Has anyone concidered adding a "funny" space where everyone can share all the crazy things our fids do? Sharing these things at work seems to only bring blank stares from people who don't have birds and don't understand that birds have distinct personalities. Just a thought.

First, I want to compliment you on the avatar system and the new section to add pix of all of our flockmates. Good ideas.

First suggestion: I would like ot see it be made possible to log in to the website and not have to log-in seperately to the forums. This is an awful waste of time.

Secondly, I would like to see it be made possible to only have to log in once a day. I visit the site several times a day and it is a pain to have to log in each time.

hey i have a suggestion....

on anther forum i go on they have a 'signature' thread and you can ask for a signature from someone and they couold make it.i am sure there are alot of people that like to make signaturesand some people who cant make signatures....so that was just my suggestion:) thanks

About our Bird Profiles...

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this... but, when we create a profile for one of our birds, there is no option for the Lineolated Parakeet species.

I have one, and I know many people that do, so I think that should be an option for the species.

Cant log into the profiles....?

For some reason I cant log into the profile part of Bird, dog or small animal channel...I was able to yesterday and made new profiles on small animal channel and dog channel...Its saying my account doesnt exist! HELP!!!

So I signed into BC today (I don't sign in often, but decided to for some reason today), and I had all of my points (14,850 to be exact) taken away! Then the next line said I had 20,000 EXPIRED points! How do points expire?

I wasn't able to use any points because I was saving up for something. What did I do wrong? It's been like a year, and now I'm down to 25 points.

I received an e-mail asking I complete a questionnaire for the upcoming magazine.
But there was no questionnaire to complete in the e-mail.
I replied requesting the form but have received no answer.
Tikki would be thrilled to complete it.

I was wondering if there was anyway we could add more then 5 friends to our aviary? 10 would be great! Maybe we could have 20 for our friends list. I was wondering if there was a section for Avian-themed gifts and things. I do Parrot Portraiture and thought maybe others may be interested in that sort of thing as well. Perhaps there are others who offer similar services, something along the "gift" or "specialty item" side. Or maybe there is that already and I totally missed it, which wouldn't surprise me! LOL

i have almost 100,000 points saved and have already the birdtalk and the dogfancy magazine.always when i check what you could get for the points,then its nothing there,were i would be interessted in and i know ism not the only one.so now here ism with my points and can't use them.I'm owned by a B&G, a African Grey,a Severe macaw, a indian Ringneck and soon a Ekkie, but there is nothing for that kind of birds,no toy's or books about them and i can't use the point's on another channel,like dogchannel,either,which has much more to offer for the points,maybe you should change that and it would be nice,if we could get maybe some Toy's for our points.

Bird of the Month Votes

Hi!! A few bird paronts and I were discussing the BOTM voting, and I have a suggestion. The way the BOTM is chosen is clearly unfair to the birds that are voted BOTW at the end of the month. If they choose to try to get BOTM, they have less time than the bird who gets BOTW at the beginning of the month...are you following me??LOL I know it sounds silly to forum people who do not blog 25 birds every day..but we birds on the "other side" sometimes blog our claws off to answer our friends! Anyway, I just thought it might be fairer if you went by which bird got the most votes when he was voted BOTW. That way..its fair to everyone..and every birdy has an equal chance of getting it!! I was lucky enough to be BOTM for March, but I thought of this afterwards and lots of Bird Moms asked me to suggest it. So here I am!! And I am NOT mad because I did not get the BOTM prize either..just a bit disappointed because the letter I got said I would...

I felt so bad for Buddy when he thought he was going to get a toy and then only got points instead and he sure did work hard and had us all in stitches. We were all rooting for him to get his toy and then he didnt get it. Cant you change this back so the birds get a little toy of some kind to make their day?
