Okay, I'd like to get another bird. Not soon though. Not ANY time soon. I'm just considering it. I'm having a few biting promblems with two of my birds, and maybe a long time after I fix that, I could get another bird. So, I have experience with 'tiels, greys, budgies, and a little cockatoo. Sooo, I'm just curious; what are good advanced beginner birds? Birds I've had my eye on:

Senegal

Red-Bellied Parrot

Green-Cheeked Conure

Dusky-Headed Conure

Quaker

I don't know anything about these birds, I just really like the ones I've played with.

Mess - not a problem

Toys - not a problem

Price - not a problem

Noise - if lots, a problem.

PLEASE don't think I'm going to rush out and buy one. I'm just considering birds for the far, far, future.

And if anyone misunderstood me, when I said little cockatoo experience, I meant some cockatoo experience (with a moluccan cockatoo), not experience with little cockatoos.

All of the parrots you ask about have many good qualities. In my opinion, the Dusky and Quaker are the loudest, but many people are bothered by the loud contact call of a Sennie or Red-Bellied. Of all the parrots you’ve named, I’ve heard the most positives about GCC’s.
What are you hoping for in another parrot?

Hmmm, I like birds that are playful, quiet, and cuddly most of the time. That type of bird would be quite a find.

I would say either a sennie, red-bellied or a GCC...they are all wonderful!

Sennie, eh? I just have to wait when the time comes. I would still like to know what people think.

Oh, and I'm okay with some noise. A little squawin' a few times a day is okay, but tons of loud-piched screeches? No thanks! I'd like as little sound as possible.
